We are happy position to announce the cooperation of the Hellenic Academy of Historical European Martial Arts and the Α.G. Club of Fencing ‘Alexander the Great’ which place in Thessaloniki.

Τhe practice groups of Medieval & Renaissance swordsmanship of the Hellenic Academy of Historical European Martial Arts, will take place in the “UNIVERSITY OF MACEDONIA “.

Training groups will include strength and conditiong exercises/sessions as well, as to upgrade the 10 general physical skills (basis as widely recognized by the Exercise Physiology ).

Those are: 

1) Ευκαμψία (Agility)
2) Ευλυγισία (Flexibility)
3) Συντονισμός (Coordination)
4) Ισορροπία (Balance)
5) Ακρίβεια (Accuracy)
6) Σθένος/Αντοχή (Stamina)
7) Ταχύτητα (Speed)
8) Καρδιοαναπνευστική αντοχή / αερόβια ικανότητα (Cardiovascular/respiratory Endurance)
9) Δύναμη (Strength)
10) Ισχύς (Power)

The study group is under the sponsorship of the Academy of Historical European Martial Arts  which is member of Meyer Freifechter Guild.

The classes are the following:

German swordsmanship (Deutsche Fechtschule ) : Long sword, rapier.
Italian school of fencing : Rapier.
Byzantine oplomachia : Sword of type spathion with small shield, sword of type paramirion with small shield, mace.
