 «Το δέ τήν πόλιν σοί δοῦναι οὔτ’ ἐμόν ἐστί οὔτ’ ἄλλου τῶν κατοικούντων ἐν ταύτῃ· κοινή γάρ γνώμη πᾶντες αὐτοπροαιρέτως ἀποθανοῦμεν καί οὐ φεισόμεθα τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν. »
