At 29-30 of November 2014 conducted with great success open Historical European Martial Arts workshop, with subject : Polish saber- Polish Szabla, at the Olympic center of Ano Liosia in Greece .
The workshop was under the sponsorship of the Hellenic Federation of Pankration Athlima (Sport branch Pammachon). The instructor was Jerzy Miklaszewski.
The workshop attended actively members from other martial arts and combat sports federations and organizations.
The workshop starts with a lecture about the evolution of saber in Europe and its eastern origin. The instructor highlighted the similarities of Polish saber with the Eastern Roman Empire sword of type paramirion. He also underlined the historical connection of this type of combat style with the Pankration. He also reported that in renaissance the Romioi mercenaries, the magnificent stratioti, bring this style of combat at the north Europe and especially in Poland and the Holy Roman German Empire, where this style merged with local combat schools.
